What Kind of Information is Collected?

There are two types of data that websites and apps can collect about their users. The first one is called personal data. This is personally identifiable information that identifies a user as an individual. ToonYou does not collect any personal information from children under 13 years of age. We collect a full name, email address and password from parents in order to create their account. We ask parents to provide photos of themselves and their child in order to use our service. We ask the parent to provide a child’s date of birth in order to create an account. We may collect personal information that parents voluntarily provide on the website. We collect Geolocation only at a country level, for statistic purposes.
We send notification to parents to announce new released episodes and content information.
The second type is non personal data which doesn’t directly identify an individual. Toon You may collect non personal information about the use of the website and apps to help us improve our services.

More about Personal Data

We require parents to provide an email address, password and birthdate in order to use some of the features of our service including the customizable videos. The email address and password are used to log in to your account. Parents and guardian can opt in to receive email updates and other relevant marketing material.
Once we have confimed that you are 13 or older, you may provide personal photos in order to customize your video. We also require the parent to provide a birthdate for their child.
Please note that if a parent posts personal information about themselves via our social media pages, in addition to being collected, this data is made public for others to see. The parent is responsible for disclosing this data.

To help us provide you with the best service we work with a third party analytics providers called Google Analytics. This company helps us to understand your use of the site and apps. This information is for internal use only and can’t be shared. It’s just for us to help us improve our services for you. We may use cookies and web beacons to help deliver our services and to analyze it. Your use of our services maybe subject to the terms and conditions and privacy policies of other services that we don’t control such as mobile app stores, mobile software platforms or payment processors. Security

Toon You uses generally accepted security measures and safeguards in an attempt to keep the data it collects secure and requires that the third parties it works with agree to do the same. The measures and safeguards include limiting access to the data to those persons who need it to complete their work for Toon You and using a fire-wall protected environment and storing personal information in secure operating environments. That said, Toon You cannot and does not guarantee and does not accept liability for unintentional disclosure.

How to update or remove your information

Toon You keeps your content for as long as necessary in providing the services. If you want to opt out of services, review your information or delete it please contact us at privacy@toonyou.com with the object “Opt Out”.
